WE HAVE TWO OFFICES.  OFFICE STAFF  IS  ONLY AT THE MEMORIAL PARK WHEN MEETING WITH FAMILIES.

PAPERWORK AND  PAPERWORK ENFORCEMENT OF CEMETERY LAW  ARE DONE OFF SITE.  

GROUNDS CREW AND MANAGER ON SITE DAILY.  MEETINGS WITH MANAGER  AND OFFICE STAFF BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

APPOINTMENT IS NOT REQUIRED TO VISIT YOUR LOVED ONES.  GATES OPEN DAILY FROM 9:00 AM-6:00PM, 365 DAYS A WEEK. 

We are NON PROFIT AND FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED. Our budget does not permit for us to have a receptionist, however,  to keep the costs down for the families of our community, we utilize a answering system to assist us with incoming calls.  We  retrieve and receive messages throughout each business day, while in between serving consumers for burial arrangements and we look forward to serving you.

Special Note: If you reach a recording, we are on the other line, or with a family.  We will give your family the same care and attention if you leave us a message.  It is not within our budget to hire a person to answer our calls, as we want to keep our pricing affordable for the families of our community.  If you do not leave us a message, we do not know that you called and it will be impossible to serve you.  Thank you in advance for your understanding and our promise to you is to give you the utmost care and attention when we are able to speak with your family.

 Desert Lawn Memorial Park is located in the rolling hills of Palmdale, California away from city noise. Desert Lawn Memorial Park is a private memorial park, with 47 acres of private cemetery property, zoned with the County of Los Angeles.  

 If you need to mail an important document, we strongly urge you to 

use USPS ONLY PRIORITY OVER NIGHT, ( U.S.  POST OFFICE)

 MAIL TO: POST OFFICE BOX 900536, PALMDALE, CA 93590.  PLEASE DO NOT OVER NIGHT WITH FED EX, NOR UPS, DUE TO SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT.   WE HAVE TWO OFFICES AND  WE ARE ONLY AT THE MEMORIAL PARK WHEN MEETING WITH FAMILIES, WITH THIS SAID, WE ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR DELIVERIES THAT REQUIRE OFFICE PERSONEL SIGNATURE.    OUR GATES ARE OPEN 365 DAYS A YEAR WITH GATE HOURS OF 9:00 AM TO 6:00 PM, DAILY, WEATHER PERMITTING.  

OUR GROUNDS CREW ARE ON SITE DAILY TO MAINTAIN THE  MEMORIAL PARK, HOWEVER IF YOU INTERUPT THEIR WORK, YOU WILL BE ADVISED TO FILL OUT A FORM LOCATED AT THE OFFICE, for our office team to evaluate and address your concern/request, and we will  prepare a work order for grounds crew accordingly.    You are welcome to drop your form into the clear box next too the door, at the front of our office. 

OUR MANAGER IS ON SITE DAILY, WHETHER IT BE ON THE TRACTOR, IN THE GROUNDS, RUNNING ERRANDS FOR MEMORIAL PARK, WITH A FAMILY, ON THE OTHER LINE, PATROLS ON THE BACK FORTY ACRES, OR WORKING ON IMPORTANT DOCUMENTATION THAT REQUIRES CONCENTRATION WITHOUT INTERUPTION.

 OUR OFFICE IS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, AS WE HAVE A SMALL STAFF, WITH A LOW BUDGET FOR OVERHEAD TO KEEP THE COSTS DOWN FOR THE FAMILIES OF OUR COMMUNITY.  

WE DO NOT SELL MARKERS ( MEMORIAL TABLETS)  PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE TO GET THE THE REQUIRED MEASUREMENTS FOR THE GARDEN WHERE YOUR LOVED ONE IS RESTING.  WHEN YOU ARE READY TO DELIVER YOUR MEMORIAL, WE WILL ARRANGE AN APPOINTMENT DAY FOR DROP OFF.  MARKER DELIVERY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  WE MUST HAVE PROPERTY OWNER'S SIGNATURE, SPECIAL CARE AND INSTALLATION FEES PRIOR TO DELIVERY.   WE CAN RECOMMEND SOME LOCAL COMPANIES THAT SELL  MARKERS TO ASSIST YOU WITH A SMOOTH PROCESS.

If you come to our memorial park and have a concern regarding your plot, please fill out a comment adjustment form located at the office, next to the door. 

( and fill out with your name, your concern/ or complaint/ as well as your telephone and address.  We check the drop box during business hours, frequently throughout the day, Monday through Friday.  We encourage families to fill out these forms to help us to attend to your concern in a prompt manner, while in between families.   

IF YOU ARE COMING TO VISIT YOUR LOVED ONE  AND WILL NEED A MAP, PLEASE CALL US A  WEEK  IN ADVANCE AND WILL PREPARE YOU A PLOT MAP OF OUR ENTIRE PARK, THE GARDEN WHERE YOUR LOVED ONE IS RESTING, AS WELL AS WE CAN FLAG YOUR SITE FOR YOU, WITH ENOUGH PRE NOTICE.  WE ARE WITH FAMILIES EACH DAY, HOWEVER WE CHECK OUR MESSAGES FREQUENTLY, WHEN ABLE, IN BETWEEN FAMILIES.

DECORATING:   FRESH FLOWERS ONLY PLEASE AS PER OUR FLORAL REGULATIONS, FLOWERS ONLY, ESTABLISHED 1959, IN A REGULATED GROUND VASE.    PLEASE REFER TO OUR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE LOCATED AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE MEMORIAL PARK.   OUR MANAGER DOES NOT MAKE THESE REGULATIONS, THESE REGULATIONS HAVE BEEN IN OUR FLORAL REGULATIONS SINCE 1959, flowers only.  

DUE TO CEMETERY MAINTENANCE STANDARDS, THE ONLY CHANGE TO OUR FLORAL REGULATIONS IS THAT WE REQUIRE FRESH FLOWERS ONLY. 

FOR HOLIDAYS SUCH AS VALENTINE'S DAY,  EASTER, MOTHER'S DAY, FATHER'S DAY, BIRTHDAY  ( PLEASE CALL US TO LET US KNOW)  MEMORIAL DAY, FLAG DAY, 

 NOVEMBER 2-3 ( Families are welcome on November 2-3 to bring food and picnic with  their loved on on these two days)  and VETERAN'S DAY AND ALL DECORATIONS ARE REQUIRED TO BE REMOVED BY 6:00 PM ON THE DAY OF SAID HOLIDAY. 

Our goal is to give you the opportunity to have fun decorating with your loved one on holidays, however again, all items placed are at your own risk, and must be removed by 6:00 pm the day of holiday, (excluding the dates of 12/17 through 1/9 see below)  to avoid them being discarded the following morning by our removal company to resume maintenance.

 CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS:

Please be advised  that any and all decorations placed in our memorial park, are being placed at your own risk. Desert Lawn Memorial Park will not be responsible for theft, or vandalism.  We work hard to keep our memorial park safe, peaceful and relaxing.  If we have a service in your area of garden, we reserve the right to gently place your belongings a side to enable us to use   our tractor into  memorial garden for preparation and completion of  interment, (burial) if need be.

DECEMBER 17 THROUGH JANUARY 9, EACH YEAR, WE WILL ASK OUR REMOVAL COMPANY TO REFRAIN FROM REMOVING ITEMS ON THESE HOLIDAYS, SO THAT YOU MAY DECORATE YOUR LOVED ONE'S SITE ( AT YOUR OWN RISK, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT) 

FROM 12/17 THROUGH 1/9 ( artificial flowers are permitted from 12/17 through 1/9 of each year, as well as CHRISTMAS TREES,  ALL ITEMS MUST BE  REMOVED BY JANUARY 9,  so that we may resume maintenance the following day, to keep the memorial park maintained as per California State Cemetery Law to maintain cemetery standards.       

We provide a large  size canopy and chairs at no charge to your family.  There will be no charge to witness the lowering and backfill, should your family desire to be present for the completion of full interment, if the backhoe is not in use.  If your property choice is next to a LARGE TREE, we may need to place the canopy a bit further away due to the tree.

All services are to be scheduled Monday through Friday from the time window of 9:00 am through 2:00 pm, the latest to be scheduled.  If a Saturday Service is requested, based on availability , there will be an additional $1595.00 added to the contract for a Saturday Service.

LEOPARD SECURITY NUMBER IS  (818) 233-6641   LEOPARD SECURITY  IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OPENING AND THE CLOSING OF OUR GATES. 

PAYMENTS FOR BEFORE NEED ACCOUNTS:  YOU MAY MAIL YOUR PAYMENT TO POST OFFICE BOX 900536, PALMDALE, CA 93590, or  you may place your paperwork into our security door, where it will sit until we are able to retrieve.  PAYMENTS MUST BE IN THE FORM OF CASHIERS CHECK, MONEY ORDER OR FROM YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS.  PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH.  NO IN PERSON PAYMENTS FOR BEFORE NEED ACCOUNTS.

WE FERTILIZE TWICE A YEAR AND CULTIVATE THE GRASS FOUR TIMES A YEAR TO KEEP THE GRASS AS HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE, UP ON THE HILL, IN THE DESERT AND WIND.   OUR GRASS WILL BE DORMANT DURING THE WINTER MONTHS AND CHANGE FROM FLUSH GREEN TO GREEN/ YELLOW, DUE TO DORMANT STATE.   PLEASE VIEW PHOTOS OF OUR GARDENS WHEN THE GRASS IT AWAKE IN THE SPRING/SUMMER/FALL MONTHS.
